RECIPE FAQ’S
Q. HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON SUGAR MIXTURE AND RIM?
A. Add some cinnamon and sugar to a shallow plate, about an equal ratio of each. Use a lime wedge to moisten the edge of the glass, gently dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar.
Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APPLE JUICE AND APPLE CIDER?
A. Apple juice is apple cider that has been heated to alter the color, flavor, and texture. It appears darker than the apple juice.
Q. WHAT IS THE BEST TEQUILA FOR MARGARITAS?
A. Different margarita recipes require different tequila choices. I would recommend using a tequila that is 100% agave without additives for best results. Blanco (silver) tequila is ideal because of its crisp, clean flavor. Reposado tequila can be used for a slightly richer and smoother taste. Avoid aged (aƱejo) tequila, as it may overpower the apple flavors.
Q. SHOULD I ADD ICE TO THIS DRINK?
A. This beverage is best served chilled. To keep it cool and refreshing, serve it over ice. Chill your margarita glasses in the fridge after making the cinnamon-sugar rim for about 10 minutes before serving.
Q. CAN I USE A DIFFERENT SPIRIT INSTEAD OF TEQUILA?
A. If you like to experiment with your drinks, you can add a smoky flavor to this apple cider margarita by replacing half of the tequila with mezcal.
Q. DO I NEED TRIPLE SEC FOR MARGARITAS?
A. I highly recommend adding the triple sec or Cointreau to your margaritas! Triple sec is an orange liqueur that adds a lovely citrus flavor to the cocktail and balances the sweetness of an apple pie syrup and apple cider.
