Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini - Savor the best Lemon Drop Martini with a perfect strawberry twist, citrusy sweetness and crisp vodka. A summer martini recipe that is so simple to make and tastes like a grown-up strawberry lemonade.

Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 3 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice, about half a lemon, strained to remove seeds and pulp
  • 6 fresh strawberries, to make 3 oz of puree
  • 1 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz water, for strawberry puree
  • strawberry, for the garnish
  • sugar, for garnishing the glass

Equipment

  • a cocktail shaker
  • a martini glass

Method

  1. Prepare the Glass: Rim your martini glass with sugar by running a lemon wedge around the rim. Next, roll the rim in a shallow plate of sugar to coat it. Set aside.
  2. Place 6 strawberries and 1 ounce of water in a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth, then pour the puree through a mesh sieve over a small bowl. Stir and press the puree through the sieve. Set aside.
  3. Fill a martini shaker with ice.
  4. Add the vodka, strawberry puree, lemon juice, triple sec and simple syrup to the martini shaker. Shake until combined and the shaker begins to feel cold in your hands.
  5. Pour into your prepared martini glass. Garnish with a strawberry and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

I do not recommend batching this recipe as shaking the ingredients in a cocktail shaker is essential to bringing out the ingredient's bright flavors and emulsifying the drink for a smooth, not layered, sipping experience.
Add a sugared rum to balance acidity on every sip by running a sliced lemon wedge along the glass and then running the edge of the glass in a shallow plate filled with sugar.
